Alistair and his team run the Yorkshire School of Garden Design from their bespoke teaching studio above their design office in central Ripon, North Yorkshire. A suite of two and three day short courses offers established and aspiring garden designers and horticulturists the chance to learn from practicing professionals on subjects ranging from planting design, freehand drawing, construction design, software packages and professional practice. In addition to the short courses, each year half a dozen places are made available for aspiring garden designers to join Alistair’s team in studying a Diploma in Garden Design, gaining special insights into the AWB portfolio of projects and receiving one-to-one guidance through the nine-month course.
